SINGLE FURRING

Single furring, also known as furring channel, is a thin, lightweight, galvanized steel strip used in construction as a primary framework for interior finishing materials like drywall, plasterboard, or acoustic panels, especially in suspended ceilings and partition walls. Its purpose is to provide a sturdy, level, and precise base to which these finishing materials can be attached, while also supporting components like insulation, electrical wiring, and plumbing behind the finished surface.
