CARBON BRUSH

Carbon brush is a small block of conductive carbon and graphite used in electric motors and generators to transfer electrical current between stationary and rotating components, such as commutators or slip ring. Its key purpose is to provide a continuous, spark-free electrical connection, enabling the motor or generator to function by facilitating commutation (changing current direction) and protecting more expensive motor parts from wear by being softer and self-lubricating.
